VI (Vodafone Idea) has declared special COVID-19 relief offers for its 60 million low-income clients. The telecom executive is offering Rs. 49 Recharge Packages as a one-time offer for free.
With this offer, VI will offer profits of up to Rs. 294 crores to its low-income users. It has also started a new combo voucher which brings double talk time for the same Rs. 79 recharge. Airtel also brought similar offers to help those grappling with the COVID-19 epidemic and the imposed lockdown.
VI has two offers for its low-income group customers to help them during the epidemic and lockdown. It is offering a Rs. 49 recharge Packages free as a one-time offer. The scheme includes Rs. 38 talk time, 300MB data, and 28 days validity. On local/national calls, Rs. 0.25 per second. VI also has an app/web recharge expensive offer which adds 200 MB to this plan.
In its press release, VI said that Rs. 49 plan is available to its 60 million low-income consumers and will provide benefits of up to Rs. 294 crores to these low-income groups. "With this, Vi is hopeful to enable its customers to stay connected securely and to access all necessary information in these challenging times," it says.
Apart from making Rs. 49 recharge plan free for low-income group, the telecom executive has also brought a new combo pack RC79 which doubles the talk time. General Rs. 79 combo recharge includes Rs. 64 talk time, 200MB data, and 28 days validity. Now this plan will come with Rs. 128 talk time while other aspects are the same. VI is also giving 200 MB additional data with app and website recharge.
Airtel also announced today that it's Rs. 49 plan will be free as a one-time gesture for its 55 million low-income customers. Its Rs. 79 prepaid plan now offers dual benefits.
